Heads up, daters. OKCupid is quietly doing away with a major feature: the ability to see who has visited your profile. This could be a good or bad thing, depending on your point of view. On the one hand, you can now creep on people—perhaps a colleague or a former flame you spot on the service—without them finding out.
OKCupid No Longer Shows Who Visited Your Profile
OkCupid review A site that makes online dating seem cool
Let's just cut the mushy bullshit and get straight to the point: Online dating can truly suck. Don't get me wrong — the help is seriously great when you start to feel like you're ForeverAlone, but the entire process of creating a dating profile and dealing with less than ideal matches can be cumbersome. You're forced to answer fake "deep" questions that everyone lies about anyway, deal with creepy dudes and girls who think it's cute to terrorize your inbox, and navigate sites that just do not have what you're looking for. Here's the thing though: OkCupid is about to be your new best friend. Use this guide to figure it out. Everyone knows the name, but what tons of people especially young people may not realize is that it's not just another eharmony or Match. OkCupid is the perfect happy medium that you might have thought didn't exist.
OKCupid's "removed" Visitor API
Some forums can only be seen by registered members. Now you don't know if you have a 'stalker', as you can't see somebody come back to your profile over and over again. I also found out that 'Likes' are now not reversable - I had some PMs go sideways with one profile, and I found that out.
With visitors removed, no one will know you took a look at their profile unless you message them or like them the latter being only if they like you back, or they have A-List. This article doesn't have a translation for English. Placing them on your hidden list means they won't show up on your match results unless there are no other options.
